Jaxtr 1.0

Tonight jaxtr officially emerged out of beta and graduated to the "1.0" status! It has been 11 months since the launch of our beta service and the team has been working diligently to make this a reality (by the way, we just recently crossed the 10 million user milestone, so the stars seem to have been aligned around "1"s and "0"s for us these days...).

Things to note in the 1.0 jaxtr service:

• Free International Text Messaging: You can now log into your jaxtr account and send text messages to your family & friends in over 30 countries for free right from your home page. Plus, your friends will be able to reply back to your SMS messages for free by clicking on the link in their message.

• Cafe Jaxtr Talk Network: True to our mission as the social communications company, we have built a global network of users centered around the question: "What do you want to talk about?" Talking technology with a German is certainly one of the things you can do. There is so much to talk about at cafe jaxtr, so be sure to check it out!

• Your Global Contact Page: Remember the days when jaxtr contact pages only contained your jaxtr widget? Those days are finally over! Now your jaxtr link (e.g., http://www.jaxtr.com/touraj) can truly serve as the one address that your global contacts ever need to know in order to call you, send you a text message or even find your other online profiles and blogs (just post your jaxtr widget on those pages and they will be linked to your contact page automatically). So, be sure to log into your account and make sure the information on your contact page is updated.

• Advance Privacy Controls: Since our beta launch, privacy controls have been an important feature and advantage for using jaxtr in an online environment. Our popular PrivacyShield, for example, routes calls from unknown callers to your jaxtr digital voicemail box, so that only people you approve can call your phone through jaxtr. Our 1.0 service gives you further control over your privacy settings from your Account page (shown here).
